Today was the day of the Reykjavik Marathon and the cultural day of Reykjavik City.
This day also marked the 30th anniversary of the Reykjavik Marathon and 14.272 runners registered this year.
This year 56 fantastic runners were running for the AHC Association of Iceland.
Pledges for over 500.000 usd were collected by all the runners of the Marathon and over 19.000 usd for the AHCAI.
The star supporter of the AHCAI was actor Ólafur Darri Ólafsson who alone collected 8.300 usd worth of pledges. This was Ólafur Darri´s first run in a marathon and he soaked in the atmosphere.
The observers cheered everyone and the AHCAI had it´s own amazing support family that waited for ALL the runners to pass by, even the ones that did not do much running;)
Overall the day was perfect although the weather gods might have smiled just a little bit more and given us a hint of sunshine;)
The AHC Association of Iceland thanks all the runners and support teams for a fantastic job and we hope that everyone has as much fun as we did;)
